As we enter the “Dog Days” of summer, please remember to check your trees and shrubs for BAGWORMS. Left unattended, these little devils will come out of their sheltered cocoons, and basically eat everything they find.
Blue Spruce trees seem to be a favorite, followed by arbor vitae shrubs, and even junipers! Bagworms have the ability to camouflage themselves quite well, so be careful that you don’t miss their little pods. They can easily be missed as they look a lot like part of the plant.
